There will be no 4th of July Fireworks at Restful Lake this year. We did not have enough volunteers this year to put them on.  We spend over a $1,000.00 on fireworks each year and last year we ask for donations during the fireworks and did not raise $100.00 at the event. That means we did even have 10 people donate $10.00 each.  The board feels we need the community to help support this event and without that we can’t justify spending the money on fireworks when it is needed for other necessary maintenance items. Please contact anyone on the board if you believe we should try again next year and can help.

The annual golf outing was held on June 11, 2017 and was a great success.  However, this year there were no golfers from the Restful Lake Community. This outing takes many hours of work to put on and without support from the community the board is not sure we will have one next year.  If you are willing to help and get more golfers to golf let Jeff know and maybe we can keep the outing going next year.

We had a maintenance weekend in May which we had asked for volunteers and we had no one from the community show up except board members.  The board members volunteer and are not compensated for their time. The board is truly committed to making a difference in Restful Lake, but we can’t do it all.  We all have jobs, families and other commitments.  So if you would like help please reach out to a board member or email us.

oWith the grounds; mulching and etc.

oWe also need use of a dump truck and skidsteer to get concrete scraps to stabilize the lake erosion.

oWith redoing the beach area and putting in drains and etc.

•Please contact Rick if you can help with the following project:

oMaintenance around the lake like the walking trail and building racks to store boats.

We are planning on having the Clam/Steak Bake Reverse Raffle on September 30, 2017.  Mark your calendar and more information to come. The board is still getting quotes and on the timeframe to do Longview from Stone to Overlook.  If you need to rent the clubhouse contact Greg.
